"I am writing to let you know how pleased we were to have our website designed, built, and maintained by My Webteam. Our new site turned out just as we imagined; simple, stylish and creative. The site is well-designed, easy to navigate and manages to routinely garner compliments that favorably reflect upon the good name and reputation of our company (IQ Risk Insurance Services, LLC) which we have worked so hard to build.

Please know that we very much appreciate the professionalism, courtesy and dedication of your designers and project managers. As a service organization ourselves, we understand the critical importance of creating a powerful customer experience at every touch-point and applaud the efforts of you and your team. We look forward to working with My Webteam for many years to come."

Beware and keep in mind the following from our Industry:

  • It’s a common practice in our industry to out-source your Website design and/or development to off-shore companies such as in India. The quality tends to be poorer, takes longer, and takes away jobs in our country.
  • It’s a common practice in our industry to auto-generate Webpages by software that exports the design into HTML pages: increases the file size due to extra code and causes slower down-load times. We craft Webpages individually by hand.
  • No office location to meet at: reflects home-based businesses by designers/programmers who may be in-between jobs and may not be around in the future.
  • Vague quotes that are hard to understand: may lead to future conflicts if everything is not defined.
  • It’s a common practice in our industry to sell designs as “exclusive”, but will be repurposed and reused for other clients.
  • It’s a common practice in our industry purposely build Websites complex by using lots of confusing layers of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), nested framesets, and/or programming code so that you cannot update the Website easily with a standard HTML editor such as Dreamweaver. Visually the Website looks simple and normal, but the code is very complex that the original developer only knows. This technique is used maliciously and unknowingly to the Client and “locks” them into the Web designer/developer for any future updates, usually charging them high fees for any small update that the Client can normally do by themselves. This will also make it hard to move away from the original Web designer/developer to another Web designer/developer, and cost a lot of extra time and money to do so.
